I was born in nineteen78 wich equals the german phrase "neunzehn78"
and to me it sounded like a good title for this photoblog. I live in Bottrop, Germany which is a small town in the so called "ruhrarea".
I got my first camera at the age of 13 but my approach to photography
was more like taking snapshots once in a while. When I bought my first
digital camera about 7 years ago things did not change that much. Snapshots
and travel pics were the only outcomes.
In 2004 I got a Nikon D70 and started to invest more time in taking pictures,
but most of them ended up in the depths of my harddrive. There were times when I took plenty of pictures and there were months with no single shot. In early 2006 I started a simple textblog and got across pixelpost, a very easy
way to run and update a photoblog. From that point on I had a use for my pictures. I was able to present my photos very easily insted of keeping them somewhere on my computer.
I try to update this blog as often as possible and it would be a pleasure if you check back once in a while. Do not hesitate to bring constructive criticism as you never stop learning. I am grateful for your visits an comments.
